Amrinder Sahota operates amrindersahota.ca and is the contact responsible for its privacy practices. This notice covers the author website and its enquiry form.

Information you choose to send

The contact form collects your message, chosen topic, submission time and any name or reply email you choose to provide. A message and topic are required; the topic starts with “Books and reading”. Name and reply email are optional. No phone number is requested. These details are used to answer enquiries, handle privacy or copyright requests, correct website problems and keep a record where necessary. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. Please do not include passwords, payment information, identity documents or sensitive personal details.

Google services and external links

This website is hosted on Google Sites. The custom enquiry form uses Google Apps Script to deliver messages to Gmail, where correspondence is handled. Google may process technical information such as IP address, browser details, cookies and service activity, including outside Canada, under its Privacy Policy. Browser and Google account settings provide relevant privacy controls. No separate Google Analytics measurement ID is configured for this site as of the effective date.

Retailer, social and sharing links lead to other services. Those services apply their own privacy policies when you visit or use them. Sharing links prepare a page title and URL; you choose whether to send or post them. This site does not receive your retailer payment details.

Access, use and retention

Form responses are not published or shared as a public results summary. Access is limited to the site operator and authorised service providers or assistance needed to handle the enquiry. Enquiry information is not sold or used to build advertising audiences. Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by law, or where necessary to address misuse or a legal claim.

Enquiry records are kept only while needed to resolve the matter and meet applicable legal or legitimate record-keeping requirements. Records used to make a decision that directly affects an individual are retained for at least one year where British Columbia law requires it. Records no longer needed are reviewed for secure deletion or anonymisation, including related copies where feasible. Google’s own retention and backup practices also apply. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You may ask about access to or correction of your personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, request deletion, or raise a privacy concern through the contact form. Include a reply address if you want a response. Requests are subject to applicable law, identity checks proportionate to the request and any necessary retention obligations. Do not send identity documents through the form.

Children should ask a parent or guardian to contact the site on their behalf. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, use the contact form to flag it. Unresolved British Columbia privacy concerns may be raised with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC.

Changes

This notice will be updated when site features or data practices change. Any future checkout, newsletter or additional tracking will require its own review and appropriate notices before launch.
